Benjamin Sadun, Partner at Dechert

Today, my guest is Benjamin Sadun, a Partner at Dechert who is a litigation privacy and cybersecurity specialist, nationally recognized for his expertise in artificial intelligence, health care technology, and class actions. In particular, Ben is renowned for his successful courtroom advocacy for health and technology giants and emerging companies. This includes a complete defense victory as trial counsel for Johnson & Johnson in a 10-week jury trial profiled by Law360 as a “Legal Lion Verdict of the Week” and selected by the Daily Journal as among the “Top Verdicts” of 2019.

Beyond the courtroom, Benjamin has extensive experience representing clients before, and leading negotiations with, the Federal Trade Commission, State Attorney General offices, US Attorney offices, and Congressional Committees. Drawing on his trial and regulator experience, Benjamin also advises companies on data governance as well as privacy and cybersecurity risk in consideration of the Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the FTC Act, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Benjamin holds a BA from Northwestern University and a JD from Harvard Law School.
