Scott Luftglass, Vice-Chair at Fried Frank

Today, my guest is Scott Luftglass, a Partner and Vice Chairman of Fried Frank and is a member of the firm’s Governance Committee. He is a litigation partner and the co-head of the Securities and Shareholder Litigation Practice. His practice focuses on representing corporations, boards of directors, special committees, senior management and financial sponsors in connection with corporate governance matters, crisis management, significant corporate transactions, securities litigation, shareholder and derivative litigation and activism defense.

Scott also represents clients, particularly special committees, in internal investigations and responses to shareholder demands. Throughout his career, Scott has represented clients in more than 250 public company mergers and acquisitions transactions (and related litigation) and securities litigation across a wide range of industries. Scott serves on the Board of Advisors for the NYU Law Institute for Corporate Governance & Finance and on the Board of Advisors for the Penn Law Institute for Law & Economics. He is also a member of the Dean’s Council at the University of Virginia School of Law. Scott holds a JD from University of Virginia Law School and a BA from Yale University.
