Rick Kline, Partner at Latham
Today, my guest is Rick Kline, a Partner at Latham who advises companies and financial institutions on a range of corporate and securities matters, including capital markets offerings, venture financings, M&A transactions, and corporate governance issues. Rick also serves as Chair of the firm’s Technology Industry Group and Bay Area Corporate Department. He brings particular experience representing leading innovators and financiers in the technology sector, including within the software, digital media, and information technology spaces.
A significant focus of Rick’s work is capital markets transactions. He regularly represents both issuers and investment banks in complex equity securities offerings, including IPOs, direct listings, 144A offerings, and follow-on stock offerings. Rick’s practice also includes company formations, venture financings, mergers and acquisitions, and a range of securities transactions. Rick holds a JD from University of Michigan and a BA/BS from University of Pennsylvania (where he played baseball until a career ending wrist injury).
