James B. Stewart, Author of “Den of Thieves”
Today, my guest is James Stewart, a Pulitzer Prize winning author, who wrote many best selling books, including Den of Thieves and Disney War.
A graduate of Harvard Law School and former Associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, he began his writing career at the American Lawyer in 1979. He wrote a well known book on the nation's elite law firms called The Partners before writing his New York Times best-seller Den of Thieves on Wall Street arbitrager Ivan Boesky and Michael Milken. His 2005 book Disney War on Michael Eisner's tenure at Disney won the prestigious Gerald Loeb Award for Best Business Book. Mr. Stewart is currently a Professor at Columbia Journalism School, a contributor to The New Yorker and a columnist for The New York Times.
