Jay Neukom, Partner at Debevoise
Today, my guest is Jay Neukom, a Partner at Debevoise and member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Group. He is veteran trial lawyer with extensive experience advising major Bay Area companies on complex business and intellectual property disputes, including trade secret misappropriation, patent and copyright infringement matters. Jay has served as lead counsel for a broad range of Fortune 500 technology companies in high-stakes matters focused on intellectual property, contract and competition issues.
Jay possesses broad expertise in the technology sector with deep subject matter knowledge in a range of areas including semiconductors, network security, software and the Internet of Things. He has litigated over 100 intellectual property disputes and chaired jury and bench trials in state and federal courts across the U.S., as well as successfully argued before various domestic and international arbitration tribunals, and the International Trade Commission. Jay received his J.D. from Stanford Law School in 2004, his M.A. from Yale University in 2001 and his B.A. from Dartmouth College in 1997. Before entering private practice, he served as a law clerk to Judge Jose Cabranes of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
