Irene Liu, Founder & CEO of HyperGrowth GC

Today, my guest is Irene Liu, Founder & CEO of Hypergrowth GC, who is a seasoned C-level business executive who is passionate about building technology companies for scale. In addition to legal and compliance functions, Irene has managed finance, customer education, trust & safety, and policy teams. She also drove M&A deals, financings, and investments to successfully help companies build and scale to achieve multi-billion dollar valuations.

Irene has also had repeat success as a regulatory and policy advisor to companies, given her background as a trial attorney at both the Federal Trade Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division. Irene is also currently an Executive-In-Residence at UC Berkeley, School of Law and serves as a board member for the UC Berkeley Center for Law and Business. Irene holds a JD from University of California-Berkeley, School of Law, and a BA from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts.
