Dean Fealk, Partner at DLA Piper
Today, my guest is Dean Fealk, an international attorney, WSJ best-selling author, policy advisor and civic leader who cross sectors to partner alongside government, business and NGOs to strengthen the economy through international investment and trade.
As the Bay Area Regional Managing Partner and international employment practice co-chair at global law firm DLA Piper, Dean represents leading multinational companies on legal and strategic issues related to international business, including more than US$30 billion in cross-border transactions.
Dean serves as a gubernatorial appointee on the California Work Development Board, Chair of the Northern California District Export Council and as a board member to regional and statewide business CEO groups including the Bay Area Council, California Business Roundtable and Foundation for Sustainable Development. He has been designated an honorary Senator of the German Economy, a Fulbright Scholar, a Marshall Memorial Fellow, an Eisenhower Fellow, a Truman National Security Fellow and Presidential Leadership Scholar. Dean also serves as chair for global strategy and innovation at the Halifax International Security Forum, the leading international event promoting peace and security through cooperation among democracies. Dean is a life member of the Council of Foreign Relations (CFR).
