Daniel Mitz, Partner at Jones Day

Today, my guest is Daniel Mitz, a Partner at Jones Day who represents companies in domestic and cross-border M&A transactions. He has extensive experience advising clients on corporate governance and fiduciary duty matters.  

Some of his most recent representative public company transactions include SAP's acquisitions of Concur ($8.3 billion), Sybase ($5.8 billion), Ariba ($4.3 billion), and SuccessFactors ($3.4 billion); Linear Technology in its sale to Analog Devices ($14.8 billion); and Lam Research's acquisitions of KLA-Tencor ($10.6 billion) and Novellus ($3.3 billion).  Prior to joining Jones Day, Daniel was Vice President of Business Affairs at Sun Microsystems during which time the company completed over $2.5 billion in acquisitions.  Daniel holds a BA from University of Michigan and a JD from NYU Law School where he was a member of the Law Review.
