Jordan Silber, Partner at Cooley

Today, my guest is Jordan Silber, a Partner at Cooley whose practice is concentrated on the formation and representation of private investment funds – primarily venture capital and growth equity funds – in the US, Greater Asia and Middle East/North Africa regions. Over the last 20 years, he has acted in a leading legal capacity in the raising of more than $100 billion in private fund interests. Jordan is the creator and founder of Vanilla by Cooley, a proprietary cloud-based subscription service for raising venture capital funds that has transacted more than $30 billion in closings.

Jordan also is a founder, curator and key contributor to TheFundLawyer blog, a resource for venture capital fund managers managed by the Cooley fund formation team. He serves as a managing member and investment committee member of GC&H Investments, Cooley’s in-house investment fund. Prior to law school, Jordan founded White Rabbit, a music performance venue in Austin and San Antonio, Texas, and acted as promoter to a wide variety of acts for over 5 years, including Matchbox 20, the Indigo Girls, the Black Crowes, Derek Trucks and others.
